For my Intro to Graphic Design course, I designed a web-first digital publication using the scroll story format — a visual storytelling technique used by major media outlets worldwide. The story originated from a piece I reported for my Data & Digital Journalism course, where I analyzed real data from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement website and uncovered a striking disconnect between the rhetoric politicians push about immigration and what the data actually shows. Having previously built an interactive webpage with data visualizations, I adapted that work into this scroll story format.
